In the heart of the boreal forest, in the harsh and cold climate of the arctic, black spruce is one of the most resistant trees on the planet.
Coming from the mountains of Canada and especially southwestern Quebec, black spruce is a conifer recognizable by its dark gray-brown bark, and its mauve fruits, similar to pine cones. Its great resistance to cold makes it endemic to northern areas of North America.
Its cleansing and purifying virtues were already well known to the Lakota Indians. They used it as well to conduct their rituals as to heal wounds and soothe muscle pain.
Today, black spruce essential oil is also used for its soothing properties. It regulates emotions and promotes calm, while relieving nervous fatigue.
Anti-pain, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, it acts on aches and contractures, calms coughs, and contributes to the health of the urinary, genital and pulmonary systems.
